Kill la Kill: Revolution
Set after the conclusion of the original, Revolution imagines the missing continuation of Kill la Kill. It seeks to answer what comes after the realization that Japan and the World at large has been fundamentally altered as a consequence of the actions of the Kiryuuin Clan and its subsequent defeat. The land of the rising sun is without ordering authority as the rest of the World wakes up to learn about the secret of Life-Fibers. The sciences catch on to the opportunity and take a leap towards the ethically questionable, while Ryuko, Satsuki, and Mako are left to find their place in a new world.
The story picks up roughly where the anime had ended. I'm not much of a writer, my favourite subjects were history, computer science, and literature depending on who was teaching it. I'm somewhat predisposed towards looking at larger, overarching systems, which will make it slightly difficult to focus on our individual heroes, Ryuko, Satsuki, and Mako. Nevertheless I see this as a challenge. I do not want to be writing a textbook, and while my design doc is basically one, I want to present everything to the viewer through the perspective of the main characters. and if I manage to handle it well, maybe we'll get something nice out of it, otherwise we'll have something to laugh about.
That is the concept of this fan-fiction. The concepts have been brewing since June of 2024 in my mind, but I was never happy with it, until recently. I would like to make this a reality this Summer, after the conclusion of my exam period.
